Food Distribution
As of May 2010, FAN donations and supplies have fed over 20,000 residents of Haiti. The FAN Food Program is a two-year plan projected to provide nutritional meals to over one million adults and kids.

Medical Relief
The FAN organization coordinates transportation and support for medical personnel and supplies. We have sent dozens of medical personnel and volunteers to Haiti where help is needed. Volunteers are working in Port-Au-Prince and remote areas where help is critically needed. Our medical professional team includes general practice doctors, surgeons, and medical techs. These selfless professionals have already saved many lives from newborns to the elderly. Our team is doing amazing work, yet the need far exceeds the current supply of medical personnel. Help is greatly needed and will be needed for a very long time. With ongoing support from donors and volunteers, FAN will continue to send healthcare aid to Haiti for many years to come. FAN currently needs immediate help from pediatric doctors and psychologists. The frightening event of the earthquake, the thousands of dead on the streets and the current poor living conditions have deeply affected Haiti’s youth.

Education Programs
Thousands of children in Haiti were orphaned by the January 12th earthquake. Most schools were completely destroyed and those remaining are still not in operation. Roads, electricity and government agencies are a long way from being restored. In the meantime, children left to take care of themselves are resorting to theft and prostitution to survive. These horrifying conditions cause severe psychological impacts and can lead to an epidemic rise in STDs and unwanted pregnancies. These children need schools, they need dorms and they need them fast. The FAN educational project leaders are working with U.S. and Haiti based resources to coordinate the funds, resources, materials, permits and ongoing support and administration needed to build and operate new schools.

Village Housing Project
FAN leadership is reaching out to architects, building inspectors, construction workers, and machine operators to participate in rebuilding Haiti’s infrastructure. Many buildings and roads, already weakened by mudslides from hurricanes, were completely destroyed by the earthquake. The goal of the FAN team is to aid in the restoration of transportation and civil structures that support community safety and development such as: hurricane-proof shelters, homes, medical facilities, churches and schools.

Founded in 2009….

Figaro Angel Network was founded in 2009 in response to the overwhelming damage caused to Haiti by hurricanes. Between 2008 and 2009 over hundreds of adults, children and babies lost their lives due to floods, mudslides and disease. Over one million residents of Haiti were left without homes.

With the idea that by working together, people can make a positive difference in the world. Shy Figaro, a French-Haitian American Fashion Designer, decided to utilize his talent, connections and passion to reach out and offer hope to those who are less fortunate. He founded the FAN organization and self-funded all aid operations through proceeds of sales from his casual wear line Trivia.

After the January 12, 2010 earthquake that killed hundreds of thousands and left millions homeless, the need became so overwhelming that Shy needed additional support to increase and maintain the emergency and restoration help needed by the people of Haiti.

Since then, the FAN network expanded to include a volunteer core and much needed donations are welcome.

Since the earthquake, Shy personally travelled to Haiti to deliver hundreds of pounds of food and medical supplies. He also coordinated the extended stay of dozens of medical personnel to Haiti. Click here to see Shy’s pictures.

FAN’s current mission is to restore Hope for the people of Haiti by providing food medical care, shelters, homes, and education.

Figaro Angel Network (FAN) is a charitable organization dedicated to providing assistance
to communities that have been devastated
by disaster.

On January 12, 2010 a 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti. The country’s infrastructure was decimated.
Over 250,000 adults and children died.
Millions are still homeless.

FAN’s present mission is to provide food, shelter, medical care and education to the residents
of Haiti.

FAN members who have traveled to Haiti report that thousands are still sleeping in the street. Adults and children are dying of disease and starvation. Ongoing emergency support and relief efforts are urgently needed to prevent more deaths due to lack of food, shelter and sanitation.

The Figaro Angel Network, through the generosity of donors and volunteers, has several programs in place to assist with the immediate health crisis and to support the longer term rebuilding of crucial infrastructure elements such as homes, hospitals and schools.
